Goldsby KIDS FAQs
The Children’s Ministry building is located to the east of the church. On your first visit, enter through the west door connecting to the church via a covered walkway.
If you have an infant or toddler, please bring all the necessary items (bottle, pacifier, special blanket, diapers, etc.) and clearly label each item. You will soon find that our volunteers will do everything they can to make sure your child is well taken care of!
When you arrive our Welcome Team will assist you in registering your children (2nd grade and younger) into our computer check-in system. The computer system will provide you name tags as well as a pick-up receipt for pick up.
- Catechisms- Each age group is taught biblical truth through a question and answer approach. The catechisms progress becoming more in-depth as your child progresses through our ministry.
- Chronological- Goldsby KIDS uses chronological curriculums to ensure kids get a big picture idea of the Bible to build a faith that can have confidence in God’s word!
- Worship- A priority of God’s people has always been singing – it encourages others, strengthens our faith, and allows for the truth of God to be easily remembered. Goldsby KIDS desires to enrich children’s walk with Jesus through worship in all ages!
- Prayer- Talking to God will be one of the main elements of a believer’s life. Our heart is to teach children what prayer is, how to pray, and how to see God answer our prayers.
When your child attends Goldsby KIDS each week, they will have the opportunity to build relationships with other KIDS and our children’s ministry leaders. Through learning and play, your child will make friends and will love come back each week.
Your child’s safety is one of our highest priorities. Here’s how we create a secure and welcoming environment:
- Secure Check-In: When you check in, you’ll receive matching identification stickers. Your child will wear a name tag, and you’ll keep the matching tag, ensuring only you can pick them up.
- Safe Pick-Up: To pick up your child after the service, simply show your matching tag to the check-out desk.
- Trained Leaders: Every volunteer completes a background check and is trained by our staff to provide safe, high-quality care.
- Monitored Hallways: Background-checked security personnel monitor the hallways during every service.
- Parent Alerts: If we need to contact you, we’ll send a text or call you.
When kids have fun at church, they can’t wait to come back! And we know they’ll have fun each week as they learn about who God is through games, activities, and teaching.
When packing a diaper bag for your child, please include the following items:
- Two or three diapers
- A complete change of clothes
- Bottle of milk, formula, juice or water
**Please label all personal items (including pacifiers and sippy cups) with your child’s first and last name before arriving at your child’s class. This helps us keep track of your child’s items.
If you have a child with special needs, we’d love to partner with you to provide extra support and make their experience amazing! Complete this form to let us know.
